Test Procedure

1. Sample Collection: Collect the fresh water sample in the provided micro vial/sample cup containing reagent. Mix thoroughly.

2. Draw Sample: Use the pipette to draw the liquid sample from the vial.

3. Add Sample: Transfer 2–3 drops of the liquid sample into the sample well marked “S” on the test cassette.

4. Wait: Allow the cassette to sit undisturbed at room temperature for 5–10 minutes.

Result Interpretation

• Negative (Safe): Two distinct red lines appear — one in the Control region (C) and one in the Test region (T). Mercury concentration is below 20 ppb.

• Positive (Mercury Detected): Only one red line appears in the Control region (C); no line appears in the Test region (T). Mercury concentration meets or exceeds 20 ppb.

• Invalid: No line appears in the Control region (C), even if a line appears in the Test region (T). Repeat the test with a new cassette.
