Product Description
- INTENDED USE
The Veterinary LH Rapid Test is a fluorescence-based immunoassay designed for the quantitative detection of Luteinizing Hormone (LH) in canine and feline serum or plasma. This test provides veterinarians with a reliable tool to:
- Determine optimal breeding timing by detecting the LH surge in female dogs and cats
- Monitor reproductive cycles and diagnose reproductive disorders
- Assist in neutering decisions by confirming gonadal status
- Differentiate between intact and neutered animals
Note: For veterinary diagnostic use only in dogs and cats.
- TEST PRINCIPLE
The test utilizes a sandwich fluorescence immunoassay methodology:
- Capture Phase: LH in the sample binds to anti-LH antibodies immobilized on the test strip
- Detection Phase: A second antibody conjugated with fluorescent nanoparticles binds to the captured LH
- Signal Measurement: Fluorescence intensity is quantified by a portable reader, with results available in 10-15 minutes
Key Features:
- High Sensitivity: Detects LH levels as low as 0.5 mIU/mL
- Species-Specific: Validated for both canine and feline samples
- Rapid Results: Enables same-cycle breeding decisions
- Stable Fluorescent Signal: Provides consistent, quantitative results
For optimal performance, use fresh serum/plasma samples and follow manufacturer’s instructions.
