Product Description

  1. INTENDED USE

The Veterinary cTnI Rapid Test is a high-sensitivity fluorescence immunoassay designed for the quantitative detection of Cardiac Troponin I (cTnI) in canine and feline serum or plasma. This test enables veterinarians to:

  • Diagnose myocardial injury (e.g., acute coronary events, myocarditis, or traumatic heart damage)
  • Monitor cardiac disease progression and treatment efficacy
  • Assess perioperative cardiac risk in aging or high-risk patients
  • Differentiate cardiac vs. non-cardiac causes of respiratory distress or weakness

Note: For veterinary point-of-care use. Results should be interpreted alongside clinical findings.

  1. TEST PRINCIPLE

This assay utilizes a sandwich fluorescence immunoassay technology:

  1. Capture Phase:
    • Anti-cTnI monoclonal antibodies are immobilized on the test strip
    • cTnI in the sample binds to these antibodies during incubation
  2. Signal Generation:
    • Fluorescent nanoparticle-conjugated detection antibodies form a sandwich complex
    • The fluorescence intensity correlates directly with cTnI concentration
  3. Quantitative Analysis:
    • A handheld analyzer measures the fluorescence signal at 650nm
    • Provides numerical results (0.05-50 ng/mL) within 10 minutes

Performance Characteristics:

  • Ultra-Sensitive: Detects subclinical elevations (LoD: 0.02 ng/mL)
  • Species-Specific: Validated for both canine and feline cTnI isoforms
  • Stable Signal: Fluorescent nanoparticles resist hook effect at high concentrations

*For optimal results, use EDTA plasma within 2 hours of collection or store at -20°C. Hemolyzed samples may interfere.*
