Product Description
- INTENDED USE
The Veterinary cTnI Rapid Test is a high-sensitivity fluorescence immunoassay designed for the quantitative detection of Cardiac Troponin I (cTnI) in canine and feline serum or plasma. This test enables veterinarians to:
- Diagnose myocardial injury (e.g., acute coronary events, myocarditis, or traumatic heart damage)
- Monitor cardiac disease progression and treatment efficacy
- Assess perioperative cardiac risk in aging or high-risk patients
- Differentiate cardiac vs. non-cardiac causes of respiratory distress or weakness
Note: For veterinary point-of-care use. Results should be interpreted alongside clinical findings.
- TEST PRINCIPLE
This assay utilizes a sandwich fluorescence immunoassay technology:
- Capture Phase:
- Anti-cTnI monoclonal antibodies are immobilized on the test strip
- cTnI in the sample binds to these antibodies during incubation
- Signal Generation:
- Fluorescent nanoparticle-conjugated detection antibodies form a sandwich complex
- The fluorescence intensity correlates directly with cTnI concentration
- Quantitative Analysis:
- A handheld analyzer measures the fluorescence signal at 650nm
- Provides numerical results (0.05-50 ng/mL) within 10 minutes
Performance Characteristics:
- Ultra-Sensitive: Detects subclinical elevations (LoD: 0.02 ng/mL)
- Species-Specific: Validated for both canine and feline cTnI isoforms
- Stable Signal: Fluorescent nanoparticles resist hook effect at high concentrations
*For optimal results, use EDTA plasma within 2 hours of collection or store at -20°C. Hemolyzed samples may interfere.*
