Product Description
- INTENDED USE
The fSAA Rapid Test is a fluorescence-based immunoassay designed for the quantitative detection of Feline Serum Amyloid A (fSAA) in cat serum or plasma. This test aids veterinarians in:
- Early detection of inflammation (e.g., infections, trauma, or autoimmune diseases).
- Monitoring disease progression and treatment efficacy.
- Differentiating bacterial vs. viral infections (elevated fSAA levels often correlate with bacterial infections).
Note: For veterinary diagnostic use only.
- TEST PRINCIPLE
The test utilizes a sandwich fluorescence immunoassay method:
- Capture Antibody: fSAA in the sample binds to anti-fSAA antibodies immobilized on the test strip.
- Fluorescent Labeling: A second antibody conjugated with fluorescent nanoparticles binds to the captured fSAA, forming a “sandwich” complex.
- Detection: The fluorescence intensity is measured by a portable reader, providing quantitative results within 10–15 minutes.
Key Features:
- High Sensitivity: Detects fSAA as low as 0.5 μg/mL.
- No Cross-Reactivity: Specific to feline SAA (no interference from canine/human SAA).
- Stable Results: Fluorescence signals minimize background noise vs. colorimetric assays.
For optimal performance, use fresh serum/plasma and follow manufacturer’s protocols.
