Product Description
The FIV/FeLV Ag Rapid Test is a dual-parameter fluorescence immunoassay designed for the simultaneous detection of Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) antibodies and Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) p27 antigen in feline whole blood, serum, or plasma. This test enables:
- Point-of-care screening for FIV exposure and FeLV infection
- Early detection of retroviral infections in asymptomatic cats
- Differentiation between FIV (antibody detection) and FeLV (antigen detection) infections
- Monitoring of FeLV-positive cats during disease progression
Note: Confirmatory testing (e.g., PCR) is recommended for positive results. For veterinary use only.
- TEST PRINCIPLE
The test combines fluorescence immunochromatography with dual detection channels:
For FeLV p27 Antigen Detection (Sandwich Assay):
- FeLV p27 antigen binds to gold nanoparticle-conjugated anti-p27 antibodies
- The complex migrates to capture zones with immobilized anti-p27 antibodies
- Fluorescence signal intensity correlates with antigen concentration
For FIV Antibody Detection (Indirect Assay):
- FIV antibodies in sample bind to FIV recombinant antigens on the test strip
- Fluorescent anti-feline IgG detects bound antibodies
- Signal intensity indicates antibody presence
Key Features:
- Dual-channel optical system independently quantifies both markers
- High sensitivity: Detects ≥5 ng/mL FeLV p27 and ≥2 IU/mL FIV antibodies
- 15-minute procedure with whole blood (no centrifugation required)
- Built-in internal control validates test integrity
*Storage: 2-30°C. Do not freeze test cassettes. For in-vitro veterinary diagnostic use.*
