Product Description
The Feline H.p Ag Rapid Test is a fluorescence-based immunoassay designed for the qualitative detection of Helicobacter pylori antigens in feline fecal samples. This test provides veterinarians with:
- Non-invasive diagnosis of active H. pylori infection in cats
- Monitoring tool for treatment efficacy and post-therapy follow-up
- Early screening for gastrointestinal disorders associated with H. pylori colonization
Note: For veterinary diagnostic use only. Results should be interpreted in conjunction with clinical symptoms and other diagnostic methods.
- TEST PRINCIPLE
The test utilizes a sandwich fluorescence immunoassay format:
- Sample Application: Fecal extract is added to the test device, where H.p antigens (if present) bind to anti-H.p monoclonal antibodies conjugated with fluorescent nanoparticles.
- Lateral Flow: The antigen-antibody complex migrates to the test line containing immobilized anti-H.p antibodies, forming a sandwich complex.
- Detection: A portable fluorescence reader quantifies the signal intensity at 525 nm emission wavelength, providing:
- Qualitative result (Positive/Negative) within 10 minutes
- Semi-quantitative index value for infection severity assessment
Key Features:
- High Sensitivity (98.7%): Detects as low as 5 ng/mL of H.p antigen
- No Cross-Reactivity: Specific to feline H.p strains (no interference with other GI pathogens)
- Room Temperature Stable: No cold chain requirement for test strips
Optimal performance requires fresh fecal samples collected within 24 hours and proper sample preparation.
