Product Description
- INTENDED USE
The Feline Triple Antibody Rapid Test is a fluorescence-based immunoassay designed for the simultaneous detection and semi-quantitative measurement of specific antibodies against three major feline pathogens:
- Feline Panleukopenia Virus (FPV)
- Feline Calicivirus (FCV)
- Feline Herpesvirus (FHV)
This test assists veterinarians in:
- Evaluating vaccination efficacy by measuring antibody titers post-vaccination
- Assessing immune status in cats prior to boarding or travel
- Diagnosing suspected infections when paired with clinical symptoms
- Monitoring antibody levels in breeding colonies or shelters
Note: For veterinary diagnostic use only. Results should be interpreted in conjunction with clinical findings.
- TEST PRINCIPLE
The test utilizes a multiplex fluorescence immunoassay technology:
- Antigen-Coated Zones: The test strip contains three distinct zones coated with:
- FPV VP2 recombinant antigen
- FCV capsid protein
- FHV glycoprotein B
- Sample Application: Serum/plasma is mixed with fluorescent nanoparticle-conjugated anti-feline IgG.
- Antibody-Antigen Binding: Specific antibodies in the sample bind to their respective antigens, forming immune complexes with the fluorescent conjugates.
- Fluorescence Detection: A portable reader measures:
- Signal intensity at each pathogen-specific zone
- Provides semi-quantitative results (Negative/Low/Medium/High) for each antibody within 15 minutes
Key Features:
- Multiplex Detection: Simultaneous measurement of three antibodies from a single sample
- High Sensitivity: Detects antibody levels as low as 50 mIU/mL
- Differentiation Capability: Distinguishes between vaccination-induced and natural infection antibodies
- Stable Results: Fluorescence signals remain readable for 24 hours post-test
For optimal performance:
- Use fresh serum/plasma (avoid hemolyzed samples)
- Store reagents at 2-8°C prior to use
- Include positive and negative controls with each test run
