Product Description

  1. INTENDED USE

The Canine Respiratory Triad Rapid Test is a multiplex fluorescence immunoassay for the simultaneous detection and differentiation of three major canine respiratory pathogens:

  • Canine Distemper Virus (CDV)
  • Canine Influenza Virus (CIV)
  • Canine Parainfluenza Virus (CPIV)

This test is designed to:

  • Provide rapid etiological diagnosis of canine infectious respiratory disease complex (CIRDC)
  • Support differential diagnosis in clinically symptomatic dogs (e.g., coughing, nasal discharge, fever)
  • Facilitate timely infection control measures in kennels, shelters, and veterinary clinics

Note: For veterinary point-of-care use with nasal swabs, ocular secretions, or respiratory lavage samples.

  1. TEST PRINCIPLE

The test utilizes multiplex fluorescence immunochromatography:

  1. Triple Test Line Design:
    • Strip contains three distinct test lines (CDV/CIV/CPIV), each coated with pathogen-specific monoclonal antibodies
    • Corresponding fluorescent nanobead conjugates bind to viral antigens
  2. Detection Process:
    • Sample migrates via capillary action
    • Viral antigens form immune complexes with fluorescent conjugates
    • Pathogen-specific complexes are captured at respective test lines
  3. Quantitative/Semi-Quantitative Analysis:
    • Portable reader measures fluorescence intensity at each test line
    • Distinguishes co-infections with >95% specificity
    • Delivers results in 10-15 minutes

Key Features:

  • Multiplex Advantage: Single-test detection of three pathogens
  • High Sensitivity: 10-100x more sensitive than colloidal gold tests
  • Stable Storage: Lyophilized reagents maintain stability at room temperature

Optimal performance requires proper sample collection and immediate testing.
