Product Description
- INTENDED USE
The Canine C-Reactive Protein (C-CRP) Rapid Test is a fluorescence immunoassay (FIA)-based in vitro diagnostic device designed for the quantitative or semi-quantitative detection of C-CRP in canine whole blood, serum, or plasma. This test aids veterinarians in:
- Diagnosing inflammatory conditions (e.g., infections, trauma, surgery).
- Monitoring disease progression and treatment efficacy.
- Assessing systemic inflammation associated with autoimmune diseases or neoplasia.
Note: Results should be interpreted alongside clinical symptoms and other diagnostic tests.
- TEST PRINCIPLE
The test utilizes a sandwich fluorescence immunoassay (FIA):
- Sample Application: Canine whole blood/serum/plasma is added to the test cartridge.
- Antibody Binding: C-CRP in the sample binds to fluorescently labeled anti-C-CRP antibodies on the conjugate pad.
- Lateral Flow: The complex migrates to the test line, where capture antibodies immobilize C-CRP-antibody complexes.
- Fluorescence Detection: A fluorescence reader quantifies the signal intensity (proportional to C-CRP concentration).
- Control Line: Ensures assay validity.
Key Features:
- High sensitivity (detection limit: ~1 μg/mL).
- Rapid results (10–15 minutes).
- Species-specific (optimized for canine CRP).
This platform combines the speed of lateral flow with the precision of fluorescence detection, offering reliable point-of-care testing for veterinary clinics.
