Product Description

  1. INTENDED USE

The Canine C-Reactive Protein (C-CRP) Rapid Test is a fluorescence immunoassay (FIA)-based in vitro diagnostic device designed for the quantitative or semi-quantitative detection of C-CRP in canine whole blood, serum, or plasma. This test aids veterinarians in:

  • Diagnosing inflammatory conditions (e.g., infections, trauma, surgery).
  • Monitoring disease progression and treatment efficacy.
  • Assessing systemic inflammation associated with autoimmune diseases or neoplasia.

Note: Results should be interpreted alongside clinical symptoms and other diagnostic tests.

  1. TEST PRINCIPLE

The test utilizes a sandwich fluorescence immunoassay (FIA):

  1. Sample Application: Canine whole blood/serum/plasma is added to the test cartridge.
  2. Antibody Binding: C-CRP in the sample binds to fluorescently labeled anti-C-CRP antibodies on the conjugate pad.
  3. Lateral Flow: The complex migrates to the test line, where capture antibodies immobilize C-CRP-antibody complexes.
  4. Fluorescence Detection: A fluorescence reader quantifies the signal intensity (proportional to C-CRP concentration).
  5. Control Line: Ensures assay validity.

Key Features:

  • High sensitivity (detection limit: ~1 μg/mL).
  • Rapid results (10–15 minutes).
  • Species-specific (optimized for canine CRP).

This platform combines the speed of lateral flow with the precision of fluorescence detection, offering reliable point-of-care testing for veterinary clinics.
